South African alternative R&B artist LuvvvStacy releases his new single “Problems” via Exodus Entertainment, continuing the emotional and conceptual world he introduced with December’s “Casamigos.”
With “Problems,” LuvvvStacy leans into uncomfortable honesty. The track explores the tension of recognizing your own flaws in love and choosing not to disguise them. Built on minimal, atmospheric production, the record carries emotional weight through restraint rather than excess. The hook lands like a confession – direct, self-aware, and unresolved.
“Problems” marks the next chapter in The King of Hearts, LuvvvStacy’s forthcoming EP inspired by the mythology of the playing card often referred to as the “Suicide King.” Historically misinterpreted as self-destructive, the King of Hearts was originally depicted as a warrior holding a battle axe. That misunderstanding becomes a metaphor for the project – a reflection on masculinity, perception, pride, vulnerability, and the quiet battles fought within.
Each song on the project carries its own meaning, allowing listeners space to interpret freely. Collectively, however, they form a broader meditation on what it means to lead with emotion in a world that often mistakes intensity for instability.
As he steps into this next run of releases, LuvvvStacy is building momentum toward establishing himself as one of South Africa’s most promising alternative voices with clear international ambition. His growing creative network includes collaborations and co-signs from artists such as Nasty C, Blxckie, Maglera Doe Boy, Adekunle Gold, DreBombay, and Wyclef Jean – positioning him within a wider cultural conversation that bridges Africa and the global market.
