Kwesta has become the global ambassador for the unmistakable cognac, Bisquit & Dubouché.
Bisquit & Dubouché, in partnership with Kwesta, celebrated heritage and legacy during The 17th Bar event held at Artistry in Sandton two weeks ago.
As part of their partnership and through their shared values of going further, following your instinct, being bold as visionaries and pioneers, Bisquit & Dubouché and Kwesta hosted guests for The 17th Bar where Kwesta delivered an intimate stripped-down performance. His performance brought the guests inside his music, the moments behind each song and where he is headed next.
The 17th Bar name is a reference to Kwesta’s The 16th Bar concert which took place in August. The name comes from 16 bars in a rap verse and Kwesta’s 16 year-long career.
The 17th Bar was hosted by Moozlie, and guests in attendance included ROII, Thabsie, Ms Cosmo, MÖRDA and more.
Kwesta spoke on how he followed his instincts to success and shared his “story to sip”; while guests enjoyed signature Bisquit & Dubouché cocktails named after Kwesta hits ‘Ngud’’, ‘Ngiyaz’fela Ngawe’ and ‘Spirit’.
Recalling life-changing memories, Kwesta shared how he got to 16 years in the game:
“The story of how I got here? I needed to write a 16, but the problem was I didn’t know what a 16 was and ended up doing 34 bars. A few days later, Slikour called, he said, ‘I think you should come back, we want to chat to you.’ In that moment, my life changed.”
