In a cultural mash-up that crossed borders and eras, South Africa rap star Nasty C pulled up for a lively chat with Jaa Kev last night on Madness Entertainment's latest episode.
The episode was recorded in South Africa, where Jaa Kev has been on the move, marking a new beginning for the series as it transitions from local entertainment to a part of the continent.
"Guess who is visiting us tonight? Yeah! Tonight, at 8 o'clock, we will have @Nasty_CSA on the Jaa Kev Show." - Jaa Kev teased on X (formerly Twitter), posted with a picture of him and Zulu Man himself.
And with that, the tone was set.
What followed was a real and high-energy discourse that struck right at the heart of the African music scene. From the evolution of Hip-Hop and music across the continent, to navigating fame and recognition, and keeping it real - along the way Nasty C found the time to drop jewels while Malawi got its flowers in the meantime.
