Following the success of his 2022 album, ‘All You Need Is Piano’, South African Amapiano artist, Mr JazziQ returns this summer with a sequel ‘All You Need Is Piano II’ EP under the theme Tumelo Vs Mr JazziQ.
The project takes on a dark and mysterious interpretation of the Amapiano-sub genre Mozambique, a signature sound coined and curated by his record label Black is Brown.
‘All You Need Is Piano II’ represents the multifaceted Amapiano DJ, businessman, podcaster, and producer by introducing a narrative element, portraying a conflict between two versions of Mr JazziQ - Tumelo vs Mr JazziQ.
This narrative led by a Halloween theme is brought to life with a 9-track EP.
Speaking on the EP, Mr JazziQ shared on a press release:
“I’m thrilled to release this new EP, we wanted to specifically release it around this time as we believe that the Piano, we make is inspired by Halloween. Moz is dark and mysterious, and we wanted to use this opportunity to highlight how different and full of suspense our sound is. You will catch that reference on songs such as Baya Hlanya, Hercules and Chants Of Moza.
I took on the role of Jason from the movie Friday the 13th because Jason I feel he is a misunderstood character in a world of darkness and unlike him, I’m not going against Freddy, ke JazziqvsTumelo uyangthola mos chommie.”
