Today marks the official release of Cassper Nyovest’s eagerly anticipated album, ‘Solomon’, his first album in two years. Through 11 tracks, 'Solomon' explores the themes of parenthood, loss, and longevity.
According to Cassper, ‘Solomon’ is a personal album.
“I wanted to make music for people like me, people my age, people who enjoy what I enjoy. And I made an album where I’m not trying to appeal for numbers like that. I just wanna express myself and find people who feel like me, you know? I think they’ll appreciate it,” Nyovest said.
Cassper Nyovest delved deeper into what the creation of the album meant for him by highlighting the advantages of self-expression within the project.
“That’s why I started rapping again. It was really for me to express myself. It was also a matter of a health thing. I felt like it was therapeutic, you know? I had to put it somewhere.”
‘Solomon’ only has two features; Maglera Doe Boy and Noba.
MDB appears on the single ‘018’, the only Drill banger in an otherwise Boom Bap release.
After teasing the song for months, Cassper Nyovest released ‘018’ on September 7th, and accompanied the single with visuals.
