The visuals for ‘Isoka’, the latest single from Sjava’s latest album, ‘Isibuko’, will put a smile on your face. There’s a lot of dancing, happy faces, moments of humour and an overall joyful mood.
The visuals suit the song’s upbeat Afro-Pop mood which has a lot of soul. On ‘Isoka’, Sjava sings about the fact that no one is perfect, so people telling his girl about his flaws is an act of jealousy and malice. “Bangakutshela lokhu ngami, baphinde bakutshele lokhu ngami, alikho isoka elingena sici,” he sings.
“But, I was talking about the public more than intombi,” Sjava said, breaking down the song during the ‘Isibuko’ listening session in January. “Because there have been situations where I was portrayed negatively so that the girl who’s you would dump me.”
‘Isoka’, which features Q Twins and Mzukulu, is the first song from ‘Isibuko’ which Sjava has shared visuals for after dropping the album without any lead single in January. ‘Isibuko’ was streamed more than 7.7 million times in the first week.
