We have continuously watched Focalistic's career grow in the past years since his transition from Hip-Hop to Amapiano in 2019 with the Major League DJz. Focalistic has since found many ways to amplify the experiences in his music for his fans and this is seen with how he rolled out his debut album 'Ghetto Gospel' in November last year. Focalistic hosted very intimate listening sessions in both Pretoria and Cape Town in collaboration with Jagermeister as he gave the crowd his all with an all exclusive performance featuring a live band. Now this gave the album a different touch and feel to it as he infused having a live band with the Amapiano sound. This is rarely seen as not many Amapiano artists see the need to have a band with them considering the amount of gigs they would have scheduled.
This amplified the listening experience for many attendees that are fans as they can attach a beautiful moment with the music and this I thought was a very good marketing strategy. This was accompanied by Music Videos for, 'Tsela Tse Nyane', 'Tabela Hape' and 'Sjepa' as he showcased his squad 'Pitori Super League' consisting of Pabi Cooper, Ch'cco and more. The fanbase has grown even more ever since as brought out Ch'cco to most of his gigs and this drove the crowd crazier as they have their favourites from the project from the two. This is seen with content that Focalistic shared on his social media from his Mamelodi gig.
He has since expanded his roll out plan as he recently premiered his first ever TV commercial for his debut album 'Ghetto Gospel'. The AD shows Focalistic in a church building as he does some self introspection and prays to God with 'Dipuo' playing in the background' as he resides some lines from 'Timana' and 'Boshego'. He is then joined by the church choir as they sing 'Dipuo' with him as well as 'Timana', 'Tabela Hape' and 'I'm not the father'. The AD then closes off with Focalistic in the the praying 'cubacel' with 'Ntjaka Mei Dawg' playing in the background. The AD premiered yesterday on Channel O from 16:45 till 18:20. Focalistic and the rest of the team really went out as the AD best summarises the album and paints the set message in a very eye catching way. You will definitely enjoy it.
