Marshall Stain Releases Long Awaited EP 'Villain You Love'

By @OfentsePhukubye on 11/04/2022 in Projects You Should Hear

Singer and Songwriter, Marshall Stain has finally released his long awaited Afro-Pop Ep with a mixture of RnB titled, 'Villain You Love'. I honestly cannot be writing about this project without giving credit to Lolly as she plugged with his music. The artist is honestly the future as how the project is put together still blows my mind to this day.

The project starts off with a very relaxed intro as he prepares on getting you into the the mood and he honestly won my attention as the instruments used to tell each love story to his soothing vocals. I love the constant storytelling from song to song as he layered his love story very well. Out of the 5 tracks, my top favourite has to be 'Stains and Potions' as the background saxophones towards the end gave it a jazzy touch and as of recent I have found myself loving more and more of Jazz music.

I love the diversity in each single as he is able to accomodate all types of Afro-beats fans as I believe there is a variety of sounds that house the Afro-pop sound. This is a perfect project to jam to when you want to either have fun on Sunday in a relaxed manner or you just want to be within your feelings. It is an amazing project as it received zero skips from me.
