If there is anything that the late Riky Rick was live and create timeless art. His Art communicated with many as it was expressed in numerous ways from Fashion to Music and even his words of wisdom. He lived a life that many could relate to but never really understood it as he had a very unique way to life. He lived to inspire many and empower many.
As many are aware, he barely released music after the 'Stay Shining' EP as he invested his time and energy in other ventures of which enriched his family name and family tree. When he finally decided to release the 'Ungazincishi' Single pack we all went crazy as the main summer single with Focalistic hit the radio waves and even made it to the 'MTN AD Level' as he would say. He constantly unlocked numerous 'operations' as he would termly describe 'making moves'. Within the single pack, a song titled 'Home' of which I wasn't aware was out or even in the single pack touched many as he addressed the pressures that life comes with and depression. The song speaks more life as it serves as a daily prayer in its own way. It speaks on every black individual's daily struggles just through the arts of it.
He was one man that was in tune with his emotions and this made him stand out even more as he never feared expressing what he felt at heart in a song. It is unfortunate that the late rapper, entrepreneur and father to many quoted words from the song before taking his own life in February. I remember the day as if it were yesterday as it was my birthday and I tell you the whole mood for my birthday changed as he had an impact on the lives of many including mine. I have only met him 3 times in my whole life and I can assure you that in the midst of those encounters, he had a lot to share. The only way we can 'Multiply' is by simply celebrating his craft and his life and with that being said, I am happy to announce that 'Home' has officially reached 1 Million Streams on YouTube. This is a major achievement as the single never had any promo work done for it. It is amazing bro constantly see that there are people that still respect and honour his legacy.
As he would say, 'We Never Die, We Multiply' and indeed he has multiplied.
