@VanceRoday Releases 'AQUA' EP

By @Lesiba on 10/22/2021 in Projects You Should Hear

Vance Roday's AQUA EP had quite an interesting rollout and it kept me intrigued with AQUA up to the release date. I knew Vance Roday made R&B but I didn't know which lane in R&B he belonged in and after listening to AQUA I still don't know where to place him but his strengths lie on the more poetic and rhythmic side of R&B. Vance Roday's songs always take one verse for me to warm up to see his songs but by the as soon as he gets to the chorus I am captured because he consistently delivered catchy hooks. I think he is at his best when he's on production that's up-tempo like TRAIN  because he just can just focus on delivering a melodic sing rap flow which he does really well. Vance Roday's flow really reminds me of someone like Tobi Lou. I didn't expect him to make a song like NAKUPENDA that has an African feel but he had his own take on it, which was refreshing. I love the concerted effort that Vance Roday put's into his writing and it shines through on AQUA. Stream 'AQUA' below.
