The Miller Music Drop, which takes place at a secret venue, is just around the corner. Before we hit the invite-only party on 30 November, I got to shop and chill with one of the DJs who will light up the stage: Nikki Newland$.
In the second episode of the Miller Music Drop miniviews, the DJ who is popularly known as Trap Money Nikki shared about her upbringing in the East of Durban. She took us through her love for a multitude of genres and how she became the neighbourhood plug for new music. A corporate player during the day and a blazing DJ at night, Nikki revealed that she actually deals with Mondays - something many DJs don’t have to worry about. She also expressed that trap music often tells the story of triumph. Of course, she had to let us know her views about the current state of music in Mzansi and who her favourite trap king is. Nikki Newland$ will be on the decks at Miller Music Drop. Other acts hitting the stage include Flame, Ms Cosmo, Kyotic, Zoocci Coke Dope and American rapper, Lil Yachty.
The exclusive party will take place on the 30th of November and the only way you score an invite is by entering the competition. Visit Miller Genuine Draft for details.
