The music video for “Middle Child” only further contributes to his place in hip hop, for its messaging and metaphors. Visual literacy isn’t everyone’s forte, but the music video is laden with hidden meanings. What was likely the “weirdest” moment happened when a white women locked eyes with a black woman’s baby hair. Then, in a strange twist, the white woman purchases a black woman’s face at the grocery store. Some people got the meaning, while others were stumped and didn’t see the correlation.
