Nasty C is easily one of the hardest working and most successful hip hop artists to come out of South Africa. This year alone his achievements both locally and internationally are too many to mention all at once from signing an international deal with Universal Music Group, working on new music with a number of huge international acts, starting his own record label, winning an AFRIMMA (African Muzik Magazine Award), going on tour and receiving music co-signs from some of the biggest artists in the world just to name a few.
The rapper decides to share some of his successes with his fans through a new web series titled My Journey where he takes fans behind the scenes of his travels to different parts of the world because of his music. This episode sees him take us through some of his activities whilst he was out in Nigeria, where we get to see him go on a press run, meet up with his record label wing in Nigeria, and hit the studio with some of Lagos' finest in Runtown, Odunsi The Engine, and Vector Tha Viper. It's pretty dope to see the young rapper's recording process and interaction with his peers from other parts of the world.
If that's not enough content to tickle your musical taste buds the rapper also recently shared a video of him and his brother playing an unheard single by him. The song has a dance vibe to it and it seems to be Nasty C sticking to his more recent upbeat trap sound. I must say that the track sounds like some fire and I hope he will be releasing it really soon. Peep the new episode and music teaser below.
