Gather around, gather around...
The Supa Mega, AKA, has had an eventful weekend and an even more eventful 2018. From the top of the year the global superstar has been ticking many a box as he continues to grow in his strides in the music industry. From dropping his highly acclaimed third album, Touch My Blood, to signing a lucrative deal with alcohol brand Cruz Vodka, and now having the biggest song on South African radio with Fela In Versace, what more could he have on the cards?
Well, after posting about his departure from Beam Group, AKA followed up the news with an announcement that he has partnered with Sony Music and Vth Season on a long term global deal that will see him work with them on "many" albums. Right off the bat, we can dispel the idea that AKA might slow down on the music after he had said that Touch My Blood might be his last album. Added to the news of his signing, Supa Mega announced that his sophomore album, Levels, is now certified double platinum. It's good news all around as this also follows the reveal of his luxurious commercial for his Cruz Watermelon luxury edition after we saw him shooting commercials some weeks ago. Shu! Did we mention the AKA Beam World App with Vodacom, as well as him recently partnering with Sizwe Medical Fund? Someone grab the calculator I can't keep up!
