Today is an exceptionally sad day as family, friends, and fans of the late Linda "PRO" Mkhize begin to say their goodbyes to the rap icon after he passed away last week Wednesday. His memorial will be held later today at the Newtown Music Factory where his life will be celebrated through music.
Throughout the week, fans and colleagues have been sharing memories of the rapper commemorating his strong legacy. Some archive material of the rapper has surfaced in the past few days as fellow artists share their past (sometimes unreleased) work with him, and with that, another freestyle has been added to the count. PRO is pictured freestyling in what he says is his office, presumably the Bentey Records working space back then (2010), with his former manager Mpho Bentey pictured in the background behind him. Yet again, we see an emcee who's true to the art of freestyling as he pieces together words on the go while the beat plays on in the background. The best part of it all is how much fun you can see he's having as he sharpens his pen through rhyme. The industry has indeed lost a giant who has impacted a whole era of rap and single-handedly endorsed ghetto dreams the country over with his being. Siyalila kodwa sizo duduzeka. Dankie san, rocka steady!
