Nipsey Hussle comes through with a potential club banger and he hails YG for it. Last Time That I Checc'd is quite a cheeky tune if you ask me 'cause the fellas go in about how they don't need permission to finesse. Hunty, melanin ain't never needed permission from anyone to be! STUNT ON EM BOYS!
Nipsey drops this new single in promotion of his long awaited debut album Victory Lap which he has been working on for the past few years with many obstacles. Needless to say, no amount of toil can jack a true rappers swag. The track is booming with that typical West Coast bass that has you wanting to do the lean back-two step (Snoop Dogg style). Last Time That I Checc'd is definitely a statement track about his resilience and position in the game. Don't be thinking Nipsey can't pull up and mess up the game. Our favourite thing about the track is how it triples into a social awareness message as well as a street anthem. Only a true hustler can put so many layered elements into a song that sounds like it was made for the club. We can't wait to hear that album, it arrives February 16th so look out for that.
