Wale comes through with a fresh new perspective of SZA's standout track, The Weekend, taken off her amazing album CTRL. The poetic emcee opens the track reciting a piece praising his gorgeous melanated beau.
He gives us the other side of the coin almost as if he's having a conversation with SZA answering to her lyrics on the original track. He raps about stepping out on his lady and seeing someone else on certain days of the week. I actually feel like Wale and SZA should've merged in studio for a conversational remix 'cause he fits perfectly on this song. After adding his verse to the song, Wale leaves it intact to play out. This is a brilliantly executed remix to this joint, definitely worth a listen and repeat. Flawless!
