Ishu! ShabZi Madallion is pulling the carpet from right under our feet with this new burst of freestyles. It's almost as if he and his compadre One Shaman have switched roles as he seems geared up to drop freestyles every week now. It's too soon to tell but we wouldn't put it past the golden maned lion 'cause his work ethic is something to awe over.
This time around he jumps on Frank Casino's hit single Whole Thing. Once again, he flips the flow on the track giving us a refreshing take on the popular song. It's very rare that an emcee jumps on the more popular hits and murks them without drowning them in a certain level of depth that strips away from the fun of the original tracks but ShabZi's rhyme skill, although always "conscious," is very playful and flexible enough to pull this off immaculately. He's not too rigid in his ways which makes this freestyle pleasant to listen to. He rides it like it was his own beat. The part where his alter ego hype man stops him from "killing people" is hilarious. Bravo!
