@ErickRush Drops First Single From #TheHeist

By @MisaNarrates on 01/11/2019 in

The new year is upon us and many artists are releasing new music! Erick Rush, Tanzanian born-American raised rapper, is one such musician preparing for a strong 2019 with the release of his album, The Heist. On Twitter, the musician announced that not only was he ready to return to the public with new music, but that this particular project was months in the making.

He opens the track with a skit, explaining the meaning of The Heist, the concept being about his readiness to ‘take what’s his’ regarding money and societal/industry position. His intro was produced by Blacksun, while he is joined by Durban based songstress, Yashna. Initially, Spokenpriestess wrote about this project in 2018, while it was still an EP, however Erick has spent the past year developing the concept further to release a full length studio album.

Erick Rush is no stranger to mainstream attention, having participated on VUZU’s 2015 season of The Hustle. In addition, many know his collaborative work with Nasty C through his guest verses on Nasty’s debut studio album Bad Hair. The Heist will be Erick’s debut album, set to release on January 25, 2019!
