Amongst other problems in the country including corruption and crime, South Africa is also facing a water issue, especially in the Cape. Many people are unable to access clean water because of the pollution and abuse of water by some people. I personally know that I take over 10 minutes in the shower, some people take longer. There is no excuse for abusing our privilege so we should be compassionate for others who aren't as blessed and use our water sparingly. Sanlam approached some of the country's leading artists to raise awareness about the water crisis by having them participate in a #2MinuteShowerSong campaign. Among these artists are Kwesta, Mi Casa, Fifi Cooper, Rouge and Jimmy Nevis to name a few. They were asked to cut down their songs to a minute, a way to motivate people into taking shorter showers. The songs are available and downloadable on the Sanlam website.
