About Me

Garreth Whyte (better known as Geesix) is a rapper from Durban who found his love for rap in 2012. Started out his career as being part of a rap group called Headbangerz who released a mixtape titled ‘Late Entry’ in 2013. The mixtape sound ranged from commercial rap, old school hip hop and dubstep. Most memorable achievement was when the group had their first number one song with the single ‘Believe Me’ (which featured the now multiple award singer Amanda Black) on Ukhozi FM Kasi Top 5 chart. With multiple TV appearances and a notable appearance in HYPE Magazine’s Newcomers Delight section in 2015. Geesix has now returned as a solo artist looking to create what he calls the ultimate musical soundtrack. Geesix has released two tracks titled ‘FSU’ and ‘OFF THAT’. The song titled OFF THAT has been chosen to be part of KFC Soundbite campaign.
