WORDZ and MashBeatz Discuss Street Fest’s Cultural Impact, Future Plans, and Cotton Fest Reflections

Reflecting on the closure of CottonFest, MashBeatz expressed the significance of the festival to the cultural space. “I just hope they find a way to bring it back, or bring something like that back, we need it for the culture,” he said. WORDZ expanded on this reflection by highlighting the personal and collective impact of the festival. “For me personally, it’s heartbreaking, it was one of those days where people would take time to come out with the flashes, we used to do some other things with the CottonFest,” he said.
