The South African Hip-Hop 10 Million Club

September ElevenMusicMusic Videos2 weeks ago879 Views

In 2014, when K.O’s “Caracara” hit a million views on YouTube, it was a South African hip-hop milestone. Back then, 1 million views was a badge of honour.

A decade later, that ceiling is dust.

We’re now in the 10 million era when South African hip-hop videos are now punching through eight figures. Loatinover Pounds’ “Sosh Plata Remix” hitting 10 million in 2025  is the clearest sign that the genre had entered a new chapter.
