The Big Samba Set to Drop Debut EP ‘The Love Theory’

Paradise Sound System proudly announces the debut EP from one of South Africa’s most exciting rising voices in R&B, The Big Samba, with The Love Theory! set for release on 7 November 2025.

The rollout begins on 31 October with the release of the lead single “Aphrodite”, a breezy, playful track infused with soulful vocals, acoustic strings, live drums, and an indie-inspired warmth. The single captures the whimsical side of romance, balancing lighthearted energy with intimate emotion. Aphrodite offers the first glimpse into the world of The Love Theory! – a body of work that blends R&B, hip-hop and alternative textures into a sound that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern.

Hailing from the Eastern Cape, The Big Samba (real name Katleho Poswa) has been immersed in music since the age of 12. A self-made, self-taught artist, he never studied music formally yet has mastered the art of composing, producing, and performing entirely on his own. With The Love Theory! his first full-length statement, he delivers a project that is bold, handcrafted, and deeply personal.

Across the EP, Samba explores love, heartbreak, and self-discovery, weaving together a sonic narrative that is both universal and rooted in his lived experience. Every beat, lyric, and arrangement is meticulously crafted by his own hand – a testament to his DIY ethos and fearless approach to creation. Like a seamstress stitching sound into emotion, he ensures each element contributes to the larger tapestry of the work.
