With features from Nasty C, A-Reece, Thandiswa Mazwai, Maglera Doe Boy and more, the album promises to be one of his most profound yet.
In a candid interview on Chopping It With Bhuda T, rapper Flvme opened up about the behind-the-scenes journey of creating AKA’s hit “Casino.” What fans may not know is that the song took almost a full year to complete, just for Flvme’s hook alone. “We had a fight at some point about it,” he shared, recalling how he reworked the last bar more than 20 times before AKA finally approved it. The breakthrough came months later when a single phone call between the two artists turned creative tension into one of their most memorable collaborations.
In a recent episode of The Sobering Podcast, Flvme opened up about the late AKA’s influence on his music journey. “That's the man that made me fall in love with SA Hip Hop anyways,” Flvme said. Reflecting on receiving recognition from AKA, he added, “So when that one happened for me, I was like wow I think we got it going now, that's when I believed in the dream for real.”
