Stogie T has released his new single, “No Healing”, which features Joey 2.0 and Ta Longz. The single brings together three distinct voices in a deeply layered collaboration that explores pain, faith, and artistic brotherhood. The song arrives as a moment of reflection for the acclaimed rapper, who has long been celebrated for his ability to merge personal experience with poetic storytelling.
Stogie T reflected on how the song represents his relationships with the artists he has been privileged to create with. He described Joey 2.0 as “a rare artist, one whose work I count among my deepest inspirations. His pen cuts sharply, yet his melodies are tender.” Turning to Ta Longz, he called him “among South Africa’s fiercest voices. A brilliant, impassioned, and relentlessly driven MC. His craft carries the urgency of our streets in every bar.”
The production carries its own story. The beat was produced by Michael for what was originally meant to be an A-Reece and Stogie T mixtape that never materialised. Stogie T noted with humour that “sometimes calls just don’t get answered,” acknowledging how creative opportunities can shift and find new purpose in unexpected ways.
What makes “No Healing” particularly compelling is its spiritual depth. Stogie T wrote that “the irony is not lost on me that the song is called ‘No Healing’ written by men who have each tasted the depths of God’s mercy and grace.” He described his own journey as “one of bruises and breakthroughs and a life stitched together by a healer I once hid from.” The song, while titled “No Healing,” ultimately carries a message of grace and the transformative power of faith.
The rapper also expressed gratitude to his collaborators for their patience, artistry, and light. He thanked his family, friends, and those in Christ whose prayers supported him during difficult times, saying their prayers “held me when my own voice failed.”
Musically, “No Healing” brings together the lyrical sharpness of Joey 2.0, the street-rooted intensity of Ta Longz, and Stogie T’s reflective storytelling. What began as an unused beat evolved into a profound collaboration. The single stands as both a creative and personal milestone, affirming the power of faith and connection.
“No Healing” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
