Sjava has officially opened the next chapter of his musical journey. The award-winning artist took to Instagram to unveil the full tracklist for his upcoming album INkanyezi Nezinkanyezi, set to arrive on 30 January. The reveal offers a clearer picture of what listeners can expect from the project, positioning the album as both a continuation and a refinement of work that has already lived in front of audiences.

INkanyezi Nezinkanyezi is rooted in a body of music that fans first encountered on stage. The album brings together mastered studio versions of songs Sjava performed during his Sjava The 2018 Tour, which ran throughout 2025. While Sjava released Inkanyezi and Inkanyezi 2.0 across streaming platforms as live recordings., this album marks the first time the songs have been fully realised in studio form. The essence of the live moments remains, but the tracks now arrive polished, expanded and reintroduced with featured artists who add new layers to the familiar material.

The tracklist reflects a wide-ranging collaboration map. Opening with Sanibonani featuring Buhlebendalo and produced by Kelvin Momo, the album sets a tone of warmth and intention. It continues through songs such as Madibuseng with Lowfeye and Lacabra, Sleepover featuring Nkosazana Daughter and Mdumise alongside Msaki that was produced by Zadok. Each collaboration feels carefully placed, drawing from voices that align with Sjava’s storytelling rather than overpowering it.

Further into the project, tracks like Amashidi Amhlophe with Anatii, Indoda Enjani featuring an upcoming artist Zamoh, Dogzin and Mafakhiza and Kuye alongside Jesse Clegg highlight the album’s breadth. The closing stretch includes Moya Wami with Siya Ntuli, Uyena featuring Ntando Dlamini, “Xigugu” with Gusba, J.John and Ronaldo and lastly Gusheshe featuring the legendary Shwi and Dogzin. The album is mixed and mastered by Ruff, ensuring cohesion across a tracklist that spans multiple collaborators and moods.

Beyond the names listed, the release speaks to Sjava’s approach to growth. Born Jabulani Hadebe, the rapper has built his career on blending personal reflection with broader cultural themes. From his earlier projects to now, his work has consistently centred lived experience, language and emotional clarity. INkanyezi Nezinkanyezi arrives not as a reinvention, but as a gathering of stories that have already travelled with him on the road and now find a permanent home.

The timing of the album also feels deliberate. By revisiting songs that audiences have already connected with in live spaces, Sjava offers listeners a chance to experience them anew, this time in a format designed for repeat listening. The addition of featured artists introduces fresh perspectives, allowing the songs to evolve without losing their original intent.

As the release date approaches, the tracklist reveal serves as both an announcement and an invitation. It confirms the scope of the album while leaving room for listeners to rediscover tracks they may recognise, now reshaped for a different setting. With INkanyezi Nezinkanyezi arriving on 30 January, Sjava continues to document his journey in a way that feels grounded, measured and open to collaboration, offering a project that bridges the space between the stage and the studio.
