Lowfeye recently released a new project titled Days Before NOSANGE, a precursor to his upcoming debut album NOSANGE. Among the tracks featured on the project is “Bags on Bags,” a collaboration with award-winning rapper Priddy Ugly. While the song is new to listeners, its origins date back much further than expected.
Lowfeye took to X to share background information about the track, revealing that it was recorded long before its official release. He wrote: “Fun fact : Bags on Bags was recorded 2 years ago, real timeless banger.”
The post prompted a response from Priddy Ugly, who confirmed the timeline and offered insight into his experience with the record. According to the rapper, he sent through his contribution toward the end of 2024. “Facts, I sent Mabulala my verse stems in Dec 2024,” he replied.
Priddy Ugly went on to explain that, despite having completed his verse, he did not expect the song to ever be released. “Personally, I thought the song wasn’t gonna drop,” he added.
He further revealed that a chance meeting with Lowfeye later shifted that assumption. “Bumped into him mid last year & he assured me that he was planning to drop it in 2026,” Priddy Ugly shared, before concluding with a final remark on the collaboration: “Generational.”
The exchange offered rare insight into the often unseen timelines behind music releases. In an industry where creative direction, scheduling, and long-term planning can delay projects indefinitely, “Bags on Bags” stands as an example of a recording that remained shelved before eventually finding its moment.
“Bags on Bags” appears on Days Before NOSANGE, a project that sets the tone for Lowfeye’s upcoming debut album. The inclusion of a song recorded years earlier highlights the artist’s willingness to revisit and recontextualize past work rather than discard it. It also reflects a deliberate approach to building a cohesive body of work ahead of NOSANGE.
For Priddy Ugly, the release marks the unexpected arrival of a verse he once believed would remain unreleased. For listeners, it provides context that adds depth to the collaboration, a meeting of two artists across different points in time.
With Days Before NOSANGE now available, “Bags on Bags” carries both its original intent and the weight of its journey, underscoring how timing, patience, and perspective can shape the final life of a song.
