South African rapper Nasty C has reshuffled the schedule of his upcoming Ivyson Tour 2025, announcing that Durban will no longer be a mid-tour stop but the final destination. The artist confirmed that the tour will now close in Durban on December 16, shifting from its original date in October.
“Initially the Ivyson Tour was supposed to come to Durban this October,” Nasty C explained in a recent Instagram story, “but I want it to be the last show of the tour, I wanna end it off in Durban, I wanna end this sh*t off at home.”
Tickets for the Durban show are officially available, with fans now able to unlock them via the ticketing platform.
Nasty C, born Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, was born in Soweto and raised in Durban, where he spent most of his early life. He attended Strelitzia Secondary School in Lotus Park, KwaZulu-Natal, and has always proudly embraced his Durban roots. Over the years, he has continued to show love for the city, often referencing it in his music, interviews, and his documentary which highlights his journey and the place that helped shape his career.
The decision to close the Ivyson Tour in Durban appears to be deeply personal, symbolizing a full-circle moment for the rapper who began his musical journey in the same city. This emotional return to his hometown aligns with the tour’s broader message of connecting with fans on a deeper level.
The Ivyson Tour 2025 is designed to span multiple African cities. It is being promoted as the first pan-African edition of the Ivyson brand, with fans able to “unlock” their city as a tour stop. The Durban date on December 16 is currently set as the final performance.
In the past, Nasty C has used the Ivyson platform not only to perform but also to spotlight young talent, share his personal story, and engage directly with his fanbase. Ending this year’s tour in Durban reinforces the artist’s connection to his roots and his appreciation for the city that helped shape him.
As the tour approaches, excitement is building among fans across the country, with Durban expected to host a powerful, emotional finale to what promises to be Nasty C’s most expansive Ivyson Tour yet.
