Mlindo The Vocalist & Blaq Diamond Announce Joint Album ‘OMKHAYA’ in Progress

Mlindo The Vocalist and award-winning Afro-pop duo Blaq Diamond have officially announced that they are working on a joint album titled Omkhaya. The announcement was made through coordinated public statements by the artists, confirming that the collaborative project is currently in production. The album marks the first full-length body of work shared between Mlindo The Vocalist and Blaq Diamond.

Omkhaya, which translates to “home,” is described as a project rooted in themes of identity, cultural background and shared musical experiences. The album brings together Mlindo’s vocal-driven style and Blaq Diamond’s duo approach, blending their individual musical backgrounds into a unified body of work. While the full tracklist and release date have not yet been disclosed, the artists confirmed that the album is actively being developed and will be released once production is complete.

Mlindo The Vocalist has built a career defined by emotive songwriting and melodic compositions, gaining national recognition through several charting singles and albums. His music often reflects personal experiences and narratives drawn from everyday life. Over the years, Mlindo has collaborated with various artists across different genres, expanding his presence within the South African music landscape.

Blaq Diamond, made up of members Ndu Brown and Danya Devs, have established themselves as a consistent force in Afro-pop with multiple successful albums and singles. Alongside the album announcement, the artists also revealed plans for the OMKHAYA Concert Tour 2026. The tour is scheduled to begin in May 2026, with the opening show set to take place in Cape Town. Following the launch, the tour will continue to other locations across South Africa, with additional dates to be announced through future press releases.

The OMKHAYA Concert Tour is intended to support the album and present the collaborative material in a live performance format.
