Lowfeye has reached a major streaming milestone after surpassing 100 000 monthly listeners on Spotify in 2026. The achievement reflects a clear increase in audience size over several years and marks a notable point in the artist’s digital growth, particularly within the African streaming landscape where his early numbers were once modest.
The milestone was publicly acknowledged on X, where Lowfeye revisited an earlier post from 2023. At the time, he had written, “We have reached 500+ monthly listeners on @SpotifyAfrica.” In 2026, replying to that same post, he updated followers with the message, “Touchdown 100k monthly Qwhos ngyabonga.” The two statements, shared three years apart, document the shift from early traction to a significantly expanded listenership.
Between those years, Lowfeye released music consistently, contributing to steady growth across streaming platforms. His catalog began reaching wider audiences, supported by increased visibility and repeat engagement. By 2025, his monthly listener count had already risen well beyond earlier benchmarks, indicating momentum heading into 2026.
In January 2026, Lowfeye released “Days Before NOSANGE,” a prelude EP intended to introduce the sound and direction of his upcoming debut solo album. The project functioned as a lead-in rather than a standalone album, providing listeners with a preview of the themes and production style set to appear on the full release. The EP includes tracks such as “Msholozi,” “Ibheshu,” “Over Everything,” and “Puppets,” featuring LaCabra and 25K, as well as “Bags on Bags,” a collaboration with Priddy Ugly. Some of the material had been recorded earlier but was released during this period to support the album rollout.
The upcoming album, NOSANGE, is scheduled for release on 27 March 2026. It will be Lowfeye’s first full-length solo album released under his own name and follows a sequence of prior projects that helped establish his presence. Pre-save links for the album were made available ahead of release, aligning with the promotional phase that coincided with his increase in monthly listeners.
The progression from 500 monthly listeners in 2023 to 100 000 in 2026 reflects a measurable expansion in reach over time. Documented through public posts and supported by consecutive releases, the growth highlights a period of sustained activity and increased audience engagement leading into the release of NOSANGE.
