LaCabra has released a new documentary titled MR BULLY (Braamfontein), continuing a visual series that documents key locations and moments in his journey ahead of his debut album. The documentary is now available on YouTube and arrives as part of the rollout for MR BULLY, which is scheduled for release on 27 February.
The MR BULLY (Braamfontein) documentary focuses on LaCabra’s time in Braamfontein and the role the area played in shaping both his personal development and his upcoming album. Announcing the release, LaCabra shared a message explaining the intention behind the project: “Get to know me better as I breakdown my come up in BRAAMFONTEIN and how this place played a role into my album.” The statement positions the documentary as a background piece designed to provide context to the music and the environment that influenced it.
Braamfontein, known as a central hub for students, creatives, and independent artists, serves as the setting for much of the documentary. Through on-location footage, LaCabra reflects on his experiences in the area, outlining how the space contributed to his work ethic, creative direction, and artistic identity. The documentary presents these elements chronologically, linking specific moments in Braamfontein to the themes explored in MR BULLY.
This release follows the earlier MR BULLY (Phoenix) documentary, which focused on LaCabra’s hood and the starting point of his journey before his move to Braamfontein. The Phoenix installment documented where his story began, while the Braamfontein chapter shifts attention to a later stage, highlighting growth, transition, and expansion. Together, the two documentaries form a connected narrative that traces his path from his origins to the present phase of his career.
The MR BULLY (Braamfontein) documentary is structured to complement the album rollout rather than function as a standalone release. It provides insight into the environments and experiences referenced throughout the project, offering viewers a clearer understanding of the background behind the music. By releasing the documentary ahead of the album, LaCabra establishes a timeline that leads directly into the debut project.
With MR BULLY set to drop on 27 February, the documentary serves as the latest piece of content in the lead-up to the album, expanding on the story introduced in the first MR BULLY documentary and setting the stage for the full release.
