At the recent Qwelfontein event held at the end of September, South African rapper K.Keed reflected on what she described as an amazing and breakthrough year. Speaking with us after her performance, she said, “I did a lot of my firsts this year, I think I did well for myself, it’s just been an amazing year, a collab with one of my favourite artists too like it’s been amazing.”
During the interview, K.Keed revealed plans to release a deluxe edition of her debut album Bite The Bullet, stating, “I’m dropping a deluxe for my debut album ‘Bite The Bullet’, I got some visuals on the way, more collabs with your favourites, just more other stuff.” When asked for further details, she said, “I don’t want to reveal too much just yet, but you’ll find out when the time is right.”
Her reference to a collaboration with one of her favourite artists points to her recent feature on A‑Reece’s latest EP Business As Usual on track 7, titled “Idgaf”, alongside Jay Jody. This collaboration is among the highlights of her year and has been well received by fans.
K.Keed released her debut album Bite The Bullet earlier this year in February. Since then, she has been involved in several notable projects and performances. She recently appeared on the Tswyza Show and performed at the Back To The City Festival, further establishing her presence in the South African music scene.
Throughout the year, K.Keed has been steadily building momentum with collaborations and features that showcase her versatility and growth as an artist. Her debut album includes appearances from prominent artists, and the upcoming deluxe edition is expected to build on that foundation with new material and visuals.
Reflecting on the year, K.Keed emphasized that 2025 has been a year of many firsts and milestones. While she did not elaborate on every achievement, the combination of her debut album release, key collaborations, and festival performances underline her progression.
Her comments at the Qwelfontein event suggest that fans can expect more music videos and collaborations in the near future, though she remains tight-lipped on exact dates and details.
As K.Keed prepares to drop the deluxe edition of Bite The Bullet and continue her artistic journey, her recent successes also mark a moment of reflection and anticipation for what lies ahead in her career.
