
Cassper Nyovest’s Fill Up Toyota Stadium concert, held in Bloemfontein in December 2025, generated significant employment opportunities, with a total of 1 563 jobs recorded during the planning and execution of the event. The figures highlight the scale of operations required to deliver the large-format live music production and its contribution to short-term employment within the local economy.
According to project data compiled after the event, the total employment figure consisted of 14 permanent positions and 1 496 temporary positions created for the duration of the project. The permanent roles were linked to core operational functions, while the temporary positions covered a wide range of event-related services that were required before, during and immediately after the concert.
The temporary roles spanned several functional areas, including event logistics, staging, sound and lighting, security, crowd control, catering, cleaning services, ticketing support, merchandising, transportation coordination and venue operations. These positions were largely project-based and aligned with the timelines of rehearsals, event day operations and post-event breakdown.
A demographic breakdown of the workforce shows participation across different groups. Women accounted for 450 of the people employed, while men made up 936. Youth participation was recorded at 1 150, reflecting the involvement of young people across various roles within the project. In addition, 53 interns were engaged as part of skills exposure and work-readiness opportunities linked to the event. The employment data also recorded the inclusion of one person with a disability within the workforce.
Beyond direct employment, the Fill Up Toyota Stadium project made use of external suppliers and contractors. A total of 31 service providers were procured to support the delivery of the event. These service providers included companies and small businesses responsible for technical production, infrastructure, equipment hire, safety compliance, hospitality services and other specialised functions required for a stadium-scale production.
The concert took place at Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein, marking one of the key entertainment events hosted in the city during December 2025. Preparations for the event involved months of coordination between the artist’s team, event professionals, suppliers and venue management to meet operational and safety requirements.
