Cape Town Hip-Hop Duo Cha$Aura (B8SE & GAFFI) Are Building A Movement

September ElevenUncategorized9 hours ago118 Views

Cape Town rappers B8SE and GAFFI, the duo named Cha$Aura, are covering good ground. They recently dropped the music video for the single “Thandabani,”which went viral on social media, amassing over 60,000 user-generated TikTok videos and earning a coveted spot in South Africa’s Shazam Top 200.

The video captures the electrifying energy that has made Cha$Aura a talk of the town, especially in Cape Town and the Eastern Cape where Gaffi is originally from.

Filmed by Umfotii during an immersive Cape Town school and university tour, the “Thandabani” visuals document B8SE and GAFFI performing live across two schools and one university, giving audiences an up-close experience of their infectious energy and stage presence.

Earlier this year, Cha$Aura dropped a self-titled EP in May that showcased their chemistry over prevalently trap production, while the closing song of the EP, ’TSHETSHE’, is an Afro-soul-leaning track built on log drums.

Cha$Aura is part of a new generation of Cape Town hip-hop that one needs to keep an eye on.
