Once in a while pH steps away from his production duties to produce and rap for himself. Thank God is a follow up from The Break EP. Thank God is what happens when experience meets the curiousity of a new-era sound. pH’s production skills allow him to create a sound that blends well with the new sound but some of the topics like on Ring The Alarm show that he has a lot more life experience than a lot of the new generation artists who would typically make music on similar beats.
Tracks like Ring The Alarm where he asks cats not to stress him 'cause baby mama is leaving with his daughter show that he's not a young buck. Home which is introduced by his daughter is the last song on the album where he talks about how he takes care of his home. Then, songs like In The Middle Of The Night which is one of my favourites, samples an old school RnB sample or loop yet only pH’s production makes it sound like it's a 2017 joint. Living up to the title of the album Thank God, pH dedicates Trust to his faith or his God.
This album is mature, musical and very seasoned in its content and its creator.
