Talib Kweli gives us another track that will have us thinking hard about social issues and what's going on in the world right now. His latest song is inspired by an incident that had a 14-year-old Bresha Meadows shoot her father to death last year due to his abuse on the family. The story seems to have touched Talib as he described on his Soundcloud page where he mentions that what really struck him about the issue was Bresha's age as it reminds him of his own children. In the first verse, he raps about Bresha in detail along with what her life was like through the abuse and in the second verse he speaks about the system in general saying how cruel it is to some people. The track generally talks about how courageous Bresha was and that she was a hero not only for the rest of her family but to society as well.
