First of all, we are the type to do the book phone as opposed to the popular "money phone". That's the running order of business around these parts. Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh is changing the way we see this hip hop thing by purposefully merging it with his thoughts on the state of affairs in our country right now. His book titled Democracy and Delusion set to go on sale on the 28th of August 2017 will be followed by an album of the same title. The 13 track album will mirror the 10 chapters of the book opened with an introduction of the album on the first 2 tracks. From track 3 to 12, the tracks will echo the chapters in his book, while the last track will be the album outro. The line up on the project includes some dope wordsmiths like Buks, Lebo Mashile and Solo to mention a few and we can't wait to hear what the audio version of Sizwe's Democracy and Delusion sounds like. The album is due of the 6th of September. Read the book, then get the album - in that order please!
