Had to Google and it turns out the song "is a play on the famous 2005 movie, Coach Carter, starring Samuel L. Jackson." Google is your friend, kids. Okay, so have you guys noticed the little rainbow colours that come out from a diamond when the light hits it? That's the rainbow Ferg raps about. Cartier is also an upmarket jewellery retailer, so Ferg could be playing on being at the forefront of the jewellery game (being the coach) and the Cartier diamonds on his wrist shining and reflecting different colours. I also gotta mention the shooting scenes in the Coach Carter movie. Now let me go on Genius and add an annotation for this joint while you give it a listen.
