SA Hip Hop Videos With Over A Million YouTube Views In 2017

The year has been a great one for the South African music industry and many artists are currently living their best lives experiencing success on a whole new level. From winning awards, multiple brand endorsements and dropping albums, to mention a few, 2017 is the year we stop forgiving the haters.

1. Kwesta ft Thabsie - Ngiyaz'fela Ngawe

Sitting at 2.9 million views and exceptionally close to hitting 3 million, the track has also been announced to be the most requested song by genre and region. The love song was just the beginning for the K1 GOAT's success this year, not to mention he got married!

2. Cassper Nyovest - Tito Mboweni

Shaa Shaa! Abuti Fill Up's track was highly criticised on social media when it first dropped but it slowly became an anthem in the streets thereafter. The track's just a little over 2.5 million views and is still going at it. He was announced as a Ciroc ambassador just after the video dropped and the brand later took the ambassadors (him and Thando Thabethe) to Ibiza for an event. Oh, did I also mention that he just dropped new merch AND he's about to fill up FNB Stadium later this year? Ska ba forgive'a!

3. AKA - The World Is Yours

What it look like? Shot in the beautiful Thailand, this video tore the Twitter streets right up, one of the reasons being the fact that AKA was also on baecation with his lady, the Queen B. With 1.9 million views currently, Supa Mega continues to raise the bar.

4 OkMalumKoolKat ft Amadando - Gqi

An insane tune right here, Malum gave us another smash that had the streets shaking. With 1.6 million views, this was just the beginning for Malum this year. He recently had a show to raise awareness on women and child abuse and he's currently working on his Gqi merchandise, bathathe Malums!

5. AKA & Anatii - 10 Fingers

I believe this was the first collab between the two after the beef issue cleared and this became one of the most popular tracks in the country, with just a bit over 1.3 million views. If you ask me, I think these two belong together man, they make some of the dopest music together and they just compliment one another. Did I mention they recently just dropped an album? Stay woke.

6. Nasty C ft Emtee - Winning

A video I didn't expect to make mad numbers, bubbling just a little over a million views, Winning was a track many fans of both artists had been waiting on. Nasty and Emtee have both been busy, with Nasty working on his Ivyson tour and Emtee busy with on some new music, the boys are doing exceptionally well for themselves.
