Legendary South African Hip-Hop group Morafe quietly released a new single in October titled ‘Tribe (Re Kaofela)’.
The song is classic Motswako in that it mixes a number of genres — R&B, Hip-Hop, and the song makes use of Amapiano’s log drum.
‘Tribe (Re Kaofela)’ is produced by veteran Pitori producer Beatmochini and Morafe member Towdee Mac.
KG handles the R&B hook while Khuli Chana and Towdee go back and forth in each verse which speaks to the group’s great chemistry.
The group drops the single ahead of Maftown Heights, a festival dedicated to the Motswako subgenre.
