Cape Town-bred artist, Inkosi Yama Ndebele, has released a new single 'Baggy Pants', produced by Konke Kula.
'Baggy Pants' is an uplifting track that describes how artists blend music and fashion with their daily lives. Its main aim is to introduce what many described as a silly trend of fashion(baggy clothes) to make them more fashionable and more accepted in the townships.
The single also touches on the lives of artists from the township, who are often labeled as individuals who are not authentic and replicate cultures from overseas. Therefore the song explains that you can get your inspiration from anywhere in the world but still maintain your authenticity and stick to your roots. It also touches on art as a broad spectrum.
