Emerging Hip-Hop duo StayC Yotte and Lucid 012’s new EP ‘Aubrey Matlala’ is titled after a very busy street in their hood Soshanguve.
“The Aubrey Matlala EP tells the stories of people from Soshanguve and people who have found a home through work and school in our township.” - StayC Yotte And Lucid 012
The duo rap in Pitori slang which they made an effort to simplify for accessibility. ‘Aubrey Matlala’ includes the single ‘Molao’ which the duo showcased in a performance in Sosha in a video they dropped last month.
The duo is versatile; they have recently featured on a few Amapiano singles, but ‘Aubrey Matlala’ is a pure Hip-Hop project influenced by everyday life of youth in Pretoria.
