Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Fireboy DML was in the country recently to promote his new album ‘adedamola’.
Among other things during an interview with SlikourOnLife, the artist touched on the love Amapiano gets in Nigeria.
“Everyone who knows Afrobeats is worldwide, Amapiano is worldwide but, you know, we Nigerians, we love Amapiano a lot. Even in our clubs, I think Amapiano plays 60% of the time. We appreciate good music, we appreciate music that makes people happy, and you know, Amapiano makes people happy, so yeah, I mean it’s all love you know.” - Fireboy DML
