Solo Ntsizwa Ka Mthimkhulu Drops A New Album 'The God Anomaly'

Solo Ntsizwa Ka Mthimkhulu has dropped a new album titled 'The God Anomaly'. The album has ten tracks of traditional African sounds, introspective emotionally driven songs with a specific dedication to sonics. The construction of the album took Solo two and a half years to establish and it is evident with every track. The opener 'Kufa Awudeli' is a soulful, melodious introduction that features Art 24 Music. The humming intrigues the listener into somewhat of a trance while Solo reads a poem honouring himself. The next song continues the theme from the first but instead of a poem, Solo goes in with hard bars. 'Nothing More' has an awesome bounce to it.

'Separate the Rams' was one of the first songs dropped from the album with amazing visuals to it. Muzi's touch on the song is quite dope and follows through into the next track 'Indlela' where he is now a featured artist instead of a producer. The pair detail how long and treacherous the road to success is in a harmonic, rhythimical way. On 'Lerato La Pelo Yame' Solo truly taps into his loving bag as he features the amazing Art 24 Music crew that drops a beautiful, loving rendition.

In his listening session, Solo explained how he had to surrender to this album and on the 6th track, he puts his actions into a song.  Featuring Lungelo Manzi, he effortlessly kills the hook. Solo's second verse particularly sticks out to me, "Surrender, I took the sabbath day to re-center, I look to gather my thoughts from a blender". He is emotional and open to the vulnerabilities of life. Heading to the latter parts of the album, 'Crop Circles' is a hard track that makes your head bob with the sonics that are accentuated. Featuring Sizwe Alakine, 'Shewe Sheweni' is a hard boom-bap track that has Solo flow effortlessly in a controlled and aggressive manner. Sizwe Alakine does the same cooking in what has since become my favourite track on the album. The outro ties back to the intro as Art 24 Music returns with their harmonies. Solo Ntsizwa Ka Mthimkhulu seems happier in the last song. Being aware of all his insecurities and awesome traits at once.
