Yanga Chief drops a new EP titled 'Imvelaphi' in which he taps into his emotional side while being experimental with his sound. "Pray to the God I have unlimited flows,” he raps on 'Xa Ukhona’, the EP’s lead single, where he goes into depth about his wishes for himself. The hook is beautifully led by Zuko SA.
On the next song, 'She Baba’, he raps over a mid-tempo Kwaito production. Kwesta, who thrives on the Kwaito-inspired beats, makes an appearance on 'Guluva’. Yanga Chief goes back and forth with emerging Cape Town rapper Kid Kapaon the Afro-Pop-leaning love song ‘Emehlweni’.
'Mbali yam' continues the theme of love while the closing song 'Gang Gang’, featuring guitarist Tshego AMG, takes you back to vintage Mbaqanga vibes.
