SPeeKa’s ‘Sotra Cyphers’ is one of the most consistent platforms for South African Hip-Hop. Today, at the back of his recently released album, ‘Organized Grime 2’, the producer celebrates 8 years of the platform.
“I literally came up with the name I was editing,” SPeeKa says in the clip he shared to celebrate the milestone.
The episode featured MaseVen, Anzo, Zwes, Masisi and a then-emerging Big Zulu.
To date, Sotra Cyphers has featured the likes of Stogie T, Sizwe Alakine, Tha Hymphatic Thabs and N’Veigh. But Sotra Cyphers wasn’t built on big names, and to this day, SPeeKa still gravitates towards talent more than clout.
Be sure to check out Sotra Cyphers and listen to SPeeKa’s latest album ‘Organized Grime 2’ on YouTube.
