Responding to the Chronicles of AKA account on X, Cruz Vodka mentioned exploring the possibility of honouring AKA by creating commemorative products or initiatives that celebrate the late rapper’s outstanding contributions to the Cruz Vodka brand and his impact on the brand’s community.
The tweet states that more details will be revealed once their plan is finalised.
In 2016, AKA signed a deal with the luxury alcohol brand, launching banana and watermelon flavoured vodkas with Cruz, making AKA the first rapper to have his own flavour of an alcoholic beverage. By 2022, AKA and Cruz had sold over 1.2 million of the bottles which resulted in a massive turnover in Cruz Vodka’s holding company, Distell.
