Last month, Nigerian superstar, Ayra Starr was announced as the official headliner for highly anticipated annual music and lifestyle event, In The City.
Earlier today, In The City and Steyn Entertainment released an official statement confirming the cancellation of Ayra Starr’s shows which were scheduled to take place in Cape Town and Johannesburg on February 16th and 17th.
According to the statement, the cancellation was due to a Visa denial for Ayra Starr, as well as her team.
“Regrettably, as has happened numerous times with other artists from West Africa - through no fault of their own, visas were denied”, read the statement.
Ticket buyers will be refunded within seven working days.
