By @Ntsika on 02/07/2024 in Article

The Qwellers Chopped it With Bhuda T and took time to explain their origins, relationships with fellow members with in the collective and the Journey to present day. It was a beautiful episode to witness as it gave context and full understanding to the collective.

The youthfulness of the movement and the hunger coupled with ambition is the cream of the episode, as you gather information about the crew members, these are simply young gentlemen who come from versatile humble beginnings, who believe in music and have met in the pursuit of their dreams. La Cabra in the episode even took the time to explain the core meaning behind the term “Qwell it” explaining it means ‘Doing your best, and also believing in doing your best on the Highest level at all times’.

The Collectives’ members all branch from various parts of South Africa, ranging from Bloemfontein to Durban, and have different ways in which they realised their talents, some realised it through feeling stage presence from talent shows and others through family members who loved music and ultimately influenced them like Sastii mention for his journey.

The Qwellers are the exact definition of up and coming in the South African Hip-Hop landscape, they left the comfort of their homes at such a young age, to come to the City of Johannesburg and have showed that the hard work and sacrifice is the fee needed to enter the SA Hip-Hop industry, Blue Pappi specifically mentioned in the interview ‘When we left our homes to come to Jozi, we came here saying we’re here to make music, not beg for opportunities’, which was a very telling statement about the collective.

All in all, this interview is a statement that The Qwellers are hear to stay, and that each and every one of them are here to leave their mark in the industry.
